JOURNAL ENTRY #7 “Matthew”

There is a great significance to John the Baptist and his direct relation towards Jesus and God. John is but a humble messenger of God, only focused of spreading the current word of God. His intentions were clearly seen in Matthew chapter 3 verse 2, “Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” His significance is greatly increased when he was tasked to baptize Jesus Christ in Matthew chapter 4. At this point we can see a great detail linking John the Baptist as sort of a prophet of God when God has introduced Jesus Christ at the site of Baptism, for this is my beloved son, whom I am pleased (Matthew 4:17).”
